Died on: March 23, 1931.
Studies at: D.A.V. School in Lahore.

Bhagat singh was born on September 27, 1907 in Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahar district of punjab. In his memory this district is now renamed as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. His father was Sardar Kishan Singh and his mother was Vidyawati. He has two brothers. The family of Bhagat singh was playing a very active role at that time in revolutionary activities and freedom struggle.
In 1916, while his initial studies in D.A.V school in Lahore he came in the contact with some other political leaders. When Bhagat Singh was only of 12 years at the same time Jaliawala Bagh Massacre was took place which create a very disturbing effect on the mind of Bhagat Singh.
Bhagat Singh was deeply affected by this massacre and he developed a strong mind to Drive the Britishers out of his country.
In 1922, Bhagat Singh fully left his studies and actively got engaged in freedom movement. At that time the National College in Lahore which was founded by Lala Lajpat rai was the main center of revolutionaries activities. Bhagat Singh joined this college to continued his studies.
Bhagat Singh later he formed Naujavan Bharat Sabha to give the movement a new direction.
Simon Commission,a committee from England visited to India in 1928. They visited to India for a discussion about how the responsibility could be delievered to indians, but no indian joined that committee and All indiand decided to boycott Simon Commission. For this Lala Lajpatrai was brutly beaten and died in Lahore. Bhagat Sing decided to take revenge of Lalaji death and he shooted the officers responsible for the death.
Bhagat singh again on 8 April 1929 with his mate named Batukeshwar Dutt had thrown bomb in Central Assembly Hall while its session going on. This incident din not hurt anyone but they both were arrested.
Then in Jail Bhagat Singh went on with a hunger srtike to protest against the beviour towards prisoners in jail..
Finally on 8 April 1929 Bhagat Singh along with his two mates named Sukhdev and Rajguru were awarded with death hanged despite of a lots of applications and pressures.
